The public has the right to be informed about the medical care they receive as well as the training that is required by the practitioner.  This is for public safety above all else.  PT's do not receive the training required to perform acupuncture, which is the same as 'dry needling'. Period. If PT's want to perform acupuncture or 'dry needling', then they need to complete the full coursework required of all acupuncturists to ensure the safety of the public and to preserve and promote the continued excellence of the profession. The public has the right to receive the very best care.
