Dry Needling by a Physical Therapist is safe

As stated by many PT's in this comment section, acupuncture and dry needling are not the same. They have different methods and different desired results.  The VPTA already looked at the safety of having Physical Therapists perform this technique and have approved the practice with stipulations of additional rigorous traning beyond the entry level Doctorate that Therapists already possess.  There is absolutely no reason to limit the practice of dry needling performed by Physical Therapists.
