Dry needling performed by Physical Therapist (PT) will put our patients in danger

Dry needling performed by Physical Therapist (PT) will put our patients in danger.

To allow PT with 50-60 hour trainings to practice dry needling ( a method of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture) is similar to allow a Nurse Assistant with hours training of injection to do medical practice and treatment, it will ruin Acupuncture profession and put patients in very dangerous situation. Any invasive treatment should be done by a well-trained medical practioner rather than an outdoorsman with  one and half of week trainings.  For example, in pain management filed, cortisol injection is obliged to be done by MD or Anesthesia Nurse practioner with 4 year medical school training or 3 year anesthesia training, even though any injection can be perform by a person with 1-3 hours trainings.
