Even after seven years of medical school, four years of residency and two years of fellowship, I still believe human physiology and pathology are complex and we do not fully understand all of them. In China, you need to finish 5 years in school to study traditional Chinese medicine to understand the theory and practice guideline of ancupuncture. I am very shocked to hear that people without formal medical school training just blindly put needles in human body. Most likely, patient just have some placebo effect and waste their money.
