I can only echo the sentiments of the many, many comments that have preceded mine: that the proposed changes are unnecessary, confusing and open the door WIDE to voter fraud.  Why in the world does the State Board of Elections think it's a good idea to remove the requirement to affirmatively state that the applicant is a legal US citizen, has not been convicted of a felony, and has not been found mentally incompetent?   These are legal qualifications to vote and an applicant should not have the option to ignore the questions pertaining to such.
