I am against the proposal to change the following boxes on the voter registration application from mandatory to optional. We need to affirm the voter's:

1. US citizenship

2. Felony conviction status

3. Absence of any legal, mental competency rulings

There is NO resaon a person who wants to vote in a US election should not answer these questions. Check out the questions on  a passport application, for example.
