Trust teachers, who are educated professionals, to make decisions that are in the best interest of the students they serve.  Requiring parental permission for controversial material opens a Pandora's box that will degrade the quality of education available to students.  Any material could be considered controversial depending upon parental perspective.  I implore you to reject this amendment.  Thank you.
