MHSS is least restrictive care keeping the client in the community.  These proposals violate the Human Rights of our clients.  Without assistance with activities of daily living in the community many of our clients cannot live independently.  Where will they go? It seems like the most likely that clients will be hospitalized both medically and for mental health or in jail.  

I know about the fraud.  I'm lucky to work for an awesome agency that would never resort to that.  However there is a long list of agencies well known in the community for being unethical.  Please don't punish clients because of the very real crimes of some private agencies.  If Medicaid wants to save money they could audit providers and make sure that already existing regulations are being followed.  

With a few releases I would love for a VA politician to shadow me for a day.  He or she would see what we do is so valuable.
