We strongly oppose the proposed DMAS changes that would replace Services Facilitation with a Support Brokerage model. Our Services Facilitator has helped my family navigate a complicated Medicaid waiver system, understand requirements, avoid service interruptions, and access resources that support our loved one in the community. Their guidance, advocacy, and responsiveness have been invaluable.
We are also concerned about losing the ability to choose a Services Facilitation provider that best meets our family's needs. Choice and competition help ensure quality services and allow families to build trusted relationships with professionals who understand their unique circumstances.
