I want a properly trained Registered Dental Hygienist, not a hastily poorly trained dental assistant performing my cleanings. RDHs go through several years of schooling and training for the proper use of hygiene tools, anatomy and physiology, anesthesia, and continuing education to work alongside dentists to care for their patients.

The RDHs deserve to be their own profession, much like nurses do, instead of BOD that dictates and does not value their service. Imagine if the BOD used its lobbying power to force Delta Dental and others, to update their reimbursement models.
