I oppose this rulemaking because trans girls are girls and trans women are women. Not only is the proposed regulation discriminatory, it is also impractical. How will "biological males" be determined? Is the state going to pay for genetic testing for every single person in the state? What happens to intersex individuals, who are biologically neither male nor female? As we've seen from other localities who have implemented this type of regulation, the regulation does provide protection for women. Instead, it leads to women and girls who are "tomboys" or are ugly being harassed and assaulted.
