I live in Arlington and I oppose Action 4905. I know and love trans people, and they are not a threat to anyone. Allowing them to compete in sports as they identify has significant, measurable health benefits to them, and shows their teammates that they are just like them. Breaking down discriminatory beliefs is so important.

There are real public health issues facing women and girls in Virginia, like domestic violence, maternal health, and poverty. Don’t let this hateful petition distract from your important mission to protect the health and promote the well-being of ALL people in Virginia.

Please allow all girls to participate in sports across our Commonwealth. As someone who grew up playing sports in Virginia public schools, I know how much fun and supportive they can be. Don't take that away from anyone.
