I believe proposition ED-14/BOH is based on fear and the lack of knowledge about trans and other gender expansive youth. These kids have always existed, since the beginning of time, and in this culture they have always been a vulnerable population, subjected to bullying and violence. Gender expansive kids need to be understood and protected.  They need safe access to spaces and activities where they can thrive and be emotionally supported in the same ways as any other child.  They are not the threat here, they are children who deserve safety, joy, dignity and love.  I oppose this proposition and believe that we can do better.
