The ages old environmental ethics debate.  The red flag indicators of an ecosystem in crisis are clear.  As stewards of this great Chesapeake Bay resource, we must start putting on the regulatory brakes and conduct more sound scientific research.  Continuing on as though all is well, is irresponsible resource management. The reality is if this part of the bay ecosystem crashes, there will be a lot more jobs lost along the entirety of bay coastal areas with billions of taxpayer dollars & years spent attempting to restore these critical resources.  Doubt this Canadian industry would spend a dime to support that effort.  Start thinking bigger picture, please!   Hopefully the environmental indicators & public concerns will finally catch the attention of our elected officials and prevail over lobbying dollars.  I support this petition.
