The Menhaden fishery is very important to the health of the bay and ocean. It is important to the economy of Virginia. It is not wise to do long term damage to the Menhaden population for short term gains. We must manage ALL of our fisheries wisely. The VMRC is a valuable organization to do exactly that. Please act in the long term interests of our environment instead of the industry pressures that ALWAYS default to the profit line.
