I 100% do not support this petition.  It would destroy a business that has been operating for over a century.  Along with all the hundreds of families that depend on it for income, health insurance, retirement ect.  Menhaden landing both in the bay, and coastwide are at historic lows, while the biomass is at historic high levels.  Coast wide commercial landings of menhaden are 1/2 of 1% of the biomass.  This is nothing more than an ongoing and perpetual effort to destroy the commercial menhaden business. Maybe if the health of the bay is really the concern here, then attention should be given to the thousands of properties along the bay that pump nutrients into the watershed that lead to algae blooms and many of the bay's issues.
