We commend the DoE for continuing the policy allowance for balanced-mixed-age groupings in preschool. The current language serves as a model of flexible and program-inclusive policy that maintains child safety while keeping the developmentally appropriate practice of mixed-age groupings logistically and financially feasible for programs.
