This petition is another baseless attempt to harm a 145 year old business that is vital to the Northern Neck area. There is no scientific argument for ‘localized depletion’ in the Chesapeake Bay. Atlantic Menhaden are a migratory species, and the latest science shows that it is one of, if not the healthiest, species in the world. 

Hopefully, this commission can rely on science and facts from experts in the industry to make the most informed decisions. Virginia, as well as the local residents and employees of the industry depend on it.
