I, as a born and bred Virginian and Northern neck resident, strongly oppose any ban on Menhaden fishing in the Chesapeake Bay. This industry is vital to the livelihood of many, many families in this area. Omega Protein works very hard to follow the guidelines and rules set forth by the state and local governments and does this responsibly and ethically. The science supports the continued harvesting of Menhaden in the Bay and ensures that they will be a vital resource for generations to come. The countless products that are sourced from Menhaden impact all of our lives and provide nutritional benefits, as well as enhance life, for us, as well as all of our four-legged friends.
