I support ending menhaden reduction fishery in the Chesapeake

I beg you to please consider the harm that the menhaden reduction fishery is doing to the other fishing industry particularly the striped bass and other fish and birds that rely on menhaden for food. The techniques used by omega protein are too good at basically clearing out the menhaden population in the bay. Striped bass population is dangerously low and this harms a big portion of the Chesapeake Bay Area economy. At the very least please consider taking some strong temporary action to at least allow the fish and predator bird populations to bounce back. Thank you for reading my post. For over twenty years I have enjoyed fishing in the bay and spent a decent amount of money in the local economy but the last few years are not worth it because the fishing has been terrible.
