Menhaden population has been severely depleted. This has resulted in less cobia and other species  catch for recreational anglers. The smaller number of menhaden coming out of the bay has even reduced whale sightings in our area. We must take action to limit the catch now. We are not talking about stopping all commercial fishing for menhaden as this fish is a great source of many health uses. However we will be facing total depletion within a few years and that will be devastating to the bay.
