I wish to add my voice to the thousands of Virginians protesting Governor Youngkin’s ill advised efforts to withdraw Virginia from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which has proved to be a successful step in mitigating serious climate change problems in the state. 
The most serious problem facing our planet is climate change.  Scientists know the steps we need to take to turn things around.  Indeed, the oil and gas industry has known since the 1960’s that burning fossil fuels would destroy the atmosphere with dire consequences for all life on earth.  With complete lack of concern for the future of humanity, they continued their greedy, doomsday path.  Here we are, in the twenty-first century, with an extremely privileged, seriously capitalist thinking man as Governor, who in reality understands little about the real world.  He is trying to run this state like a business rather than lead where we the people want him to go. There is nothing more wrong than the stubborn intransigence he has shown. Listen to your constituents, Governor.  November is close and there are many thinking Virginians watching.
