RGGI

Virginia should stay in RGGI for a few reasons. SE Virginia has been more effected by rising seawater than any other area of the East Coast and needs the funds generated by RGGI to implement mitigation efforts. The costs for mitigation will rise; how will funding from RGGI be replaced to implement mitigation efforts? Is there a more effective way to fund mitigation to offset the effects of rising sea levels on SE Virginia? If so please publicize them and include objective data showing how and why. One way or another we will pay for mitigation efforts, or endure the economic consequences for the SE region and eventually the state. There will be economic consequences to leaving RGGI and increased costs of living for all Virginians.
