Stay in RGGI

The action to introduce a bill to repeal the Virginia Clean Economy Act is, as usual, a misguided move by a small group (elected or not) of individuals who are catering to the whims of the governor.  Climate change is real, and simply withdrawing from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative without a clear strategy other than the Governor doesn't like it is ludicrous.  There does not seem to be any way to recoup the benefits (already $589 million dollars) which will be lost by withdrawing.  Further, what concrete actions (in terms of investment in efficient energy such as Small Modular Reactors) are being taken to ensure the gains that have been made will be sustained.  This is nothing more than a tantrum by the governor which serves no purpose.  Do NOT withdraw from RGGI.
