Keep RGGI. It works!

RGGI is the law!! The Governor should NOT be able to repeal it.  I can't understand why he would want to. It is working well in Virginia.  Virginia's plant emissions have decreased since we joined RGGI. There has been decreased air  pollution which means fewer asthma attacks, etc. Virginia's participation in RGGI generates funds that are providing safe and energy-efficent homes to low-income families which would not have been possible before RGGI. It will not continue if we drop out.  RGGI is providing dedicated funding to localities to plan for and prevent recurrent flooding.  RGGI has also been helping to protect utility customers from high bills.  RGGI ensures that power plant owners steadily reduce reliance on fossil fuels, protecting customers from these volatile commodities.  RGGI ensures that polluters have to pay for the damage they cause in our communities, if they go over certain limit RGGI makes them pay more.  The money RGGI makes goes back to the communities.  PLEASE to NOT allow RGGI to be repealed. Please count my comment because it seems like many previous comments that were for RGGI were dismissed.  Everyone I know is  for RGGI so I can't understand why it might be repealed!!  I am counting on the government to do the right thing. Sincerely, Jamie Usrey, Arlington, Virginia
