Don't Withdraw from the RGGI!

The governor does NOT have the right to override state law by executive order or administrative enrollment. Virginia -- and the rest of the country -- needs to be doing more to reduce greenhouse gases, not less! Don't make our environment suffer for political expediency. Once again, right-wing extremists trade the long-term health of the planet to allow businesses to make higher profits. Since Virginia joined this effort, we've received almost $600 million from the sale of carbon credits. How does the governor expect to replace those funds used for flood protections, community resilience, and energy efficiency programs for low-income residents? It's time to stop thinking about short-term gains for the few and become a leader who understands that climate change is having adverse effects on the majority.
