We have hardly begun to see the benefits that RGGI investments will bring to Virginia communities. As an example, I looked over some of the first round of community flood preparedness grant applications and saw many small communities being able to consider hiring or training a flood plain manager. This would then start the process for local problem solving - with additional rounds of grant writing and funding. We need to stay in RGGI and keep these jobs, and knowledge-building, which are key to solving flood issues for all communities across the Commonwealth who face them.
