I live in a flood zone, in Chesapeake VA, on Deep Creek. I can see the water rising and every time there is a storm surge or hurricane, I fear for my house getting flooded and for street flooding preventing emergency services in my neighborhood. RGGI is one way to both slow the emissions of greenhouse gases causing warming of the oceans and melting of ice causing sea levels to rise, and RGGI also provides funding for adaptation to sea level rise- to build nature-based solutions and sea walls.
