Stay in RGGI

I write today to express my disappointment with the Commonwealth's attempt to ignore the will of the people by withdrawing from RGGI.  RGGI has provided badly needed funding to the Commonwealth to address climate-related projects.  Gov. Youngkin has provided no sound reasons to eliminate Virginia's participation in this program, leaving the people with the assumption that it is a favor to Dominion Energy, but nothing wanted or needed by the citizens.  The vague statement that utility bills might go down a little is not worth the significant funding that has been provided by RGGI.  Virginia doesn't need climate change denying leadership; it needs forward thinkers, not head in the sanders, or worse.

If the Governor refuses to back away from this political payoff, I can only hope that litigation to prevent this probably unlawful usurpation of executive authority from going through.
