The rising cost of living is not a sufficient reason to repeal the participation of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. The benefits to the residents of the commonwealth far outweigh any increase in rates. With the signs of a warming planet verifying predictions of the destructive effects of global warming, we need to do more, not less, to combat the escape of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
