RGGI benefits ALL of Virginians and is Law

RGGI was made LAW under the prior administration.  Using an Executive Order now to repeal it circumvents Virginia's constitution and the fact that RGGI was made Law after being passed by both Chambers of the General Assembly.

Funding as a result of RGGI is enabling steps to be taken to prevent flood damage on our coast.  Already 17 cities and counties in the Hampton Roads area support the continuation of RGGI!

Low income households in Virginia are saving money as a result of energy efficiency improvements to their homes as a result of RGGI generated funds.

The climate is changing as evidenced by recent major damaging storms on 7/29/23 and 8/7/23.  Storms are increasing in frequency and strength resulting in flooding and damage all around Virginia.  Businesses and even the Federal Government closed early on 8/7/23 as a result of the approaching storm causing economic loss and property damage.

Funds generated by RGGI are helping Virginia to adapt and deal with the damaging effects of changes in our climate.  Virginia Needs RGGI,  RGGI is LAW, the large majority of Virginians SUPPORT RGGI.  Keep RGGI for Virginia!
