As I write this comment, we are in the middle of what is likely to be Virginia's hottest summer since record keeping began.  Climate change is real and it is happening faster than predicted. Extreme heat and rising ocean waters will have a devastating impact here in Virginia unless we take action.  RGGI is a small step in the right direction.  The dollars generated for Virginia are already  funding flood mitigation projects and weatherizing peoples homes so that utility bills remain affordable. RGGI should not be a political football - we need responsible policymaking that protects future generations.
