My opinion

My argument isn't going to be why do you allow slot machines in 7-11 all over town that don't pay taxes on winning yet you have a chance to make revenue on this. My argument is why would you allow millions of dollars in tax revenue leave the state or the city even and nor care. Sure you can say they are going to casinos but I'm not talking about anything but the people that want to play poker and only poker. Poker has been around for generations and card rooms like pops give them a place where they can be treated like family and friends and enjoy a safe environment to play their favorite game of skill. Yes I know they are building 2 casinos in va however in places like California for instance (and I speak front experience) poker players would prefer a card room rather than a casino because they feel more comfortable in an environment where they are in a place that caters to only card players. Furthermore they are all busy casinos and card rooms. I used to go to a card room to play poker and a casino to play other games as well but my point is there is enough players for everyone and there is only an upside to having both. Why wouldn't you want tax dollars coming in from both directions.  Please consider giving the people what they want and honestly deserve because when you allow slot machines to go untaxed and casinos to be built but say no to a card room then you are making poker players feel singled out and unwelcomed and that my friends is unfair and wrong. Thank you ...chris williams
