When I graduated from college in 1963, I volunteered at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. At that time many of the Emergency Ward patients were women having complications from botched illegal abortions. Moreover, some of my college classmates dropped out of college because of an unplanned pregnancy. How unnecessary to go back to those days!
The applicable licensing regulations BEFORE the current "temporary" ones were sufficient to ensure patient safety. Do not make it unnecessarily difficult for a woman to obtain an abortion. That decision is difficult enough as it is.
