It's simply time!

Thank you for the consideration of public opinion related to removing discrimination from adoption policies.

I'm a Virginia native and proud to say I continue to live in Virginia. My entire life all I've ever wanted is to have a family and make a difference in the world. My partner and I have wonderful families and friends who create a nurturing diverse environment to raise children. It's simply time that our state allows us to adopt children, as a couple under the law.  I write to encourage the State Board of Social Services to prohibit state-licensed child placing agencies from discriminating based on based on race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability and family status in providing services to children and prospective foster care and adoptive parents.

There are children who deserve loving, supportive homes. Simply make it about the kids, who need homes and we are prepared to support the State Dept of Social Services.
