Children need loving, stable caregivers with whom they attach and feel safe, regardless of sexuality or marital status. It is disappointing as a taxpaying voter to live in a state that is choosing to allow children to remain in foster care than to offer the opportunity of a permanent family, regardless of religion, gender, sexuality or marital status. Child placing agencies should be allowed to license all families that clear criminal and child protection registries without taking into consideration sexuality or marital status.
