Preserve Religious Freedom

In the best interest of children and to provide all options for birth parents and adoptive parents, I ask that the decision of April 20th stand.  Faith based child placement agencies have the fundamental right to continue their work in this area without governmental intrusion into the practice of their faith.  These faith based agencies are within the federal and state law to make decisions that are consistent with their religious beliefs including those concerning marriage and family life.  Forcing these agencies to choose between following a discriminatory regulation or their religious convictions would be an unprecedented violation of religious freedom in Virginia.  These faith based agencies provide vital services to our communities and especially those most vulnerable, the children.  They must be allowed to continue their good work.
