WITHDRAWAL FROM RGGI WOULD BE COSTLY TO VIRGINIANS WHO NEED HELP

The proposal that Virginia withdraw from RGGI is fiscally irresponsible and ignores reality.

Here in the Roanoke Valley,  RGGI provides essential funding to both weatherize homes and make us more resilient to the negative effects of climate change, and we can’t afford to have these programs disappear.

Well-to-do people can afford to do these things on their own, but withdrawal from RGGI would disproportionately affect lower income citizens in both the urban areas and the surrounding rural areas.

Please reject this misguided proposal.
