Keep Virginia in RGGI

I'm a District Director representing Roanoke City on the Blue Ridge Soil and Water Conservation District Board. Soil and Water Conservation Districts work diligently to protect our water and soil in our Commonwealth. It's also our responsibility to make sure that Virginia's dams are safe and hold up during extreme weather events. We educate the public about how to help prevent storm runoff by maintaining the tree canopy and planting rain gardens.

RGGI provides a much needed funding source for the Community Flood Preparedness Fund (CFPF) which has received over $200 million so far that will help communities across our Commonwealth implement flood resilience initiatives.

Please keep Virginia in RGGI to provide the revenue we need to respond to extreme weather events.

Thank you,

Director Freeda Cathcart
