The importance of RGGI

Please, do not withdraw Virginia from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. This is a market-based program that reduced CO2 emissions in 11 states, improving air quality and public health while also generating revenue to use for improving energy efficiency for low income households, community flood preparedness, and coastal resilience. Virginia has gained $400 million through RGGI for these programs. As an "air pollution control board" it is unconscionable to even begin to consider withdrawal from RGGI. For the sake of state and all its people, and for the sake of the future of our world, DO NOT WITHDRAW VIRGINIA FROM THE REGIONAL GREENHOUSE GAS INITIATIVE!
