The governor is simply an uninformed novice and that is no reason to withdraw from REGGI.   Instead of promoting practical  and beneficial policies to protect our air, this governor wants to eviscerate regulation to make a political point.  I thought the purpose of government is to create the conditions for a good quality of life for our citizens.  If corporations have their way, our environment will be degraded and our health will be harmed.  REGGI is not the only way to reduce carbon emissions, we could for example mandate electric cars in the Golden Crescent, that would go a long way to reduce emissions.  But that is not practical, while participating in REGGI, while a modest remedy, is practical and has already proven to bring benefits to our state.
