I am a lifelong Virginian and a voter. I strongly oppose action to withdraw the Commonwealth from the RGGI. Not only do I believe this proposed executive action to be unconstitutional and illegal in the way it is proposed, I believe it to be the wrong course of action for the current and future health and well-being of Virginia.  Traditionally, actions to protect and conserve Virginia's natural resources and environment have been apolitical because they are in the best interests of all citizens of Virginia. The RGGI has the added benefit of bringing funds INTO Virginia.  Withdrawal from the RGGIis ill-advised from multiple perspectives. I urge that such action be rejected.
