This is to urge  you to reject the Youngkin administration's attempts to withdraw Virginia from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).

RGGI has proven to be a successful effort to reduce pollution while directly helping communities on the front lines. RGGI has already raised more than $370 million, which has helped thousands of struggling families reduce energy bills and increase energy efficiency. It also provides funding for localities across the state to prepare for and protect against increasingly devastating floods.

To address the impacts of climate change and reach carbon-free energy by 2050, it is essential to support initiatives like RGGI. Virginia must remain a part of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
