Retain the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative

Global warming is the most serious threat facing our nation and the planet. Most citizens do not take it seriously enough, but they should, for the sake of their children and grandchildren, if not for themselves. The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) is the minimum that Virginia should be doing to combat global warming. And it is a win/win program. The legislature enacted Virginia's participation in the RGGI, and I am mystified that the executive branch thinks it can undo legislative action. I am also mystified as to why the executive branch has so little concern for our children and grandchildren. They ought to be smarter and better informed than the average citizen.

Please do not remove Virginia from the RGGI.
