RGGI is GREAT!

RGGI is a market-based solution to decrease greenhouse emissions from power plants. As such it has appeal to all Virginia citizens, regardless of political affiliation. On top of that, it has been bringing in millions of needed funds for flood protection and low-income energy efficiency programs. There is no other dedicated funding for these crucial needs. It makes no sense that the Governor is trying to pull us out of RGGI. Participating in RGGI is all benefits and no costs, and again, it is a market-based solution. It appears that the Governor, like so many of his Republican cronies in Congress, is more concerned with overturning anything accomplished by Democrats than with actually improving the lives of his constituents. We need to stay in RGGI, regardless of the short-sighted thinking of politicians who only think about their personal power.
