Unimaginable suffering is happening in Florida right now because of flooding due to severe storms. Climate change exists and is getting worse; its being politically and economically inconvenient does not change that reality.  Virginia, and the world, urgently need to do whatever is possible to reduce carbon emissions that cause climate change. We also need to take common-sense steps like hardening our communities against against flooding to better cope with the inevitable disruptions that sea level rise and more frequent and severe storms will cause. RGGI is a step forward in both of these domains, and it would be foolish and tragically shortsighted to leave it. Gov. Youngkin, your legacy will be judged by your administration's decision here. Stay.
