support anti-discrimination protections

I support adoption regulations including anti-discrimination protections for prospective parents based on sexual orientation, disability, age, gender, race, color, national origin, political or religious affiliation. The critieria for selection of adoptive homes should be based on the ability to provide a safe and supportive homelife for children.

In my career I have worked with many children who have been placed in loving supportive foster and adoptive homes. Granted, when I was younger I carried some of my own bias about what constituted a "good" home. Experience has taught me that a good home is where children are supported emotionally, physically and financially so that the may have the an opportunity to have the best outcomes for their lives. Good parents can be found in all of the above categories and none of these should be denied the joys of raising healthy children based on their sexual orientation, disability, age, gender, race, color, national origin, political or religious affiliation.
