Opposed to Continuing Education Requirement for PEs

To remain competitive in the current environment, one must constantly learn about new technologies and approaches to problems.  There is no classroom course that can mimic the reality of the workplace.  The engineer has been through an accredited program and passed a difficult exam to obtain his or her license.  All of that being said, to survive in the engineering world, one must practice continuing education on a daily basis.  I am therefore opposed to requiring hours of continuing education to maintain a license.
