In opposition to CE

I join the overwhelming voice of my colleagues in urging the state not to enforce CE's for PE's.  In my experience, a PE is requirement for employment and advancement by most if not all consulting firms and many other engineering-intensive organizations,  yet only the principals (who are appropriately insured) ever actually use their PE license to stamp drawings, etc.  So, why place additional burdens on the majority of the PEs out there who don't actually stamp drawings?  I also question the value of CE seminars and the relative benefit of the time required for them.

Thanks for considering my comments.
