This should not be a requirement.

After graduating from college with a Bachlor's degree in Surveying and Mapping from ETSU, I went on to take several of these courses in preparation for the licensing exam.  These courses are NOT practical to our everyday life as Surveyors.   Who payes for these classes? We do!  I am self employed and I like to think that if I am spending money on something it will be beneficial to my everyday workload.  If someone wants to take classes, let them, But don't require it.

Lastly, My father is also a licensed Surveyor.  If these classes are required I am sure he will not renew his license.  What is going to be required of  our retired predecessors?
